Starting with a cultural immersion tour with students, Moodjar and participants visited sites including Yellagonga Park and Lake Goollelal, teaching the students about the rich history of the area.
Moodjar then facilitated a Nyungar naming workshop with key stakeholders from the St Marks' community - including staff, teachers, parents and students from Years 5, 9 and 10.
Using literature and stories from the area, and the innovative place naming process, the group developed names for five spaces and activity areas around the school.
