This work involved undertaking a desktop literature review of the research available on the area, then inviting senior Nyungar knowledge holders to be part of workshops run with RAC staff. A Nyungar name for the building was developed - Koorlup - that was relevant to both the area, and the values of RAC. Part of this process involved breaking down and decoding traditional Nyungar place names already present in the surrounding area.
