Over 5 Yarning Sessions, Moodjar worked with a Como Beach reference group of Nyungar Elders and knowlege holders, to share stories and history of the area. These Yarning Sessions covered native flora and fauna, on country immersions, place names, and women’s business. The youth action group Millennium Kids were also a key stakeholder in the process, spending a day with the Como Beach reference group to learn about the Nyungar stories of birds of the area, and envision the future of the Preston Street Precinct, Como Beach, and the full bilya foreshore.
