1 Midland Square – Landgate cultural narrative

As the Landgate offices at 1 Midland Square were being renovated and upgraded, it was important for Landgate staff to enter this new space with a strong understanding and connection to the land they are working on, and the history of the area.

Through workshops involving Elders Consultations and Nyungar naming, Moodjar, alongside a Traditional Owners advisory group, led Landgate staff through the development of a Cultural Narrative for the building. This included creating relevant names and themes for the three levels and 31 spaces within the building. First Nations design consultancy Nani Creative then worked with local artists Kaedisha Westburg and Rod Garlett to create stunning glass treatments and designs to reflect each of the room and floor names/themes.
